The WASP status bar

The Firefox status bar will show the WASP icon. Beside this icon you will see the names of the tools found on the currently loaded page. Contrary to other tools, WASP looks at the running code, not just the source code.

If WASP doesn't show a tool but looking at the source code tells you otherwise, it most likely mean something prevents the tags from firing correctly. See the case studies for some possible causes.

The icon

Click on the WASP icon to toggle the WASP sidebar display on or off.
Rick-click (ctrl-click on Mac OS X) to show the WASP contextual menu:
- Visit: shortcuts to the WASP and immeria websites, support forum, user voice and license purchase.
- Options: bring the preference dialog (also where you can input your license key)
- WASP Pro: is where you can launch the crawler wizard, export the results of a crawl and use the built in data browser.
- Toggle Sidebar... does what it says
- Disable WASP: this allows you to stop looking for the tags when browsing (instead of disabling the whole extension, which requires a browser restart).
